MoM went on to rebuild and make great advancements , scraping their way back up to 7th in size come rounds end. A new tactic was created late in the round by Terror as he got rid of all but seven planets, shrunk his size to the minimum. With this small size he would pinpoint very small players in far away systems and get a foothold in a system with his small size. Once he was there and portalled he would take a second planet and hand it off to a bigger attacker from the family. Those bigger attackers would then strip the systems bare, gaining large numbers of planets in systems in the last month of the round.

MoM had many set back sin the round including the deletion of Dracula, the two week suspension of Cannibal, Humbaba/Rygatron deleting and then coming back as a different race mid-way through the round and the typical squabbles that all families go through.

One of Terror's favorite moments is the ridiculous efforts that unchecked players will go through to get planets. The fiasco started late in the round when we had finished with our wars and were left to expand and conquer. Terror, Hades, Enterprise and Humbaba were busy conquering system after system in the middle of sector 2, far from our core. The vets had decided to let the rest of the family pursue their own targets closer to our core, which turned out to be the Horsemen. Their family was pretty small, but their top player had 175 planets and that was attractive to Paradise, Hat, Drac, and many of the others in MoM. The Hark members of MoM were asked for advice as to how to attack, but it was believed that players learn best when you let them go make their own way in the world and so they were left to their own devices. What a mistake!

Horsemen had a few systems about 4-5 ticks from the farthest edges of the MoM core and the MoM players were not going to let them hold entire system eventhough Horsemen had Defense Stations in those systems and owned every planet in them. Well the onslaught began as millions and millions in resources were wasted over a span of many days. Every ounce of savings from the players involved was thrown to the fires of hell, the wasteland of inefficency. Fleets were devasted over and over again as the MoM players would not give up and even worse refused to think of a better plan of attack. Eventually after about 4 days of attacks, the MoM squad acquired the one system. 22 planets at the cost of about 100 million per planet. At the same time the Alpha-Flight Hark squad had aquired 8 systems/100 planets for an extreme minimum in cost, maybe 50 million total. It was more humorous than this can ever explain.

The Monsters of Mayhem, aka MoM, existed in the Milky Way during Rounds 15 and 16. Three members of the Harkonnens - Hades, Enterprise and Terror of the Night - drafted into the family between rounds. After finishing in the 20s the previous round, the newly named Monster of Mayhem came together under the veterans and placed 7th in size and 19th in net worth in Round 15. After the round the Harkonnen vets left to play with old friends from years gone by one last time. MoM fell apart the following round due to some other player defections and bad luck during the expo phase of Round 16 and finished 28th size and 34th net worth. MoM officially faded into the oblivion of IC afterward and has not returned since.

Round 15 - The round started with a bunch of new people all getting to know each other. things started pretty good, getting a good set of allies with Talic's fam and the Killer fam. We were being led by Dracula while Terror and Hades tried to take over in the tactical area and get a coordinated strategy and everyone understanding of basic strats and our plan. This was the first time that some of the Harks were back and so adapting to the "core" strategy was a change, but one that was easy to assimilate. The MoM core was made with some wise Perm NAP's with close fams and then great time keeping them clean. The core was one of the safest in MW with only a few intrusions that did not last for more than a few ticks, before they were cleaned out.

The core contained much of the bottom of sector 3 and the top of sector 1 connecting to our allies. Two weeks into the game MoM was in the top five in MW and doing great, but then the alliance had a problem as the Killer Fam '63 was to be dropped by MoM and '24 for reasons that are not clear. This caused some tension and would lead a huge war with the MoM alliance and the TDC The Dark Clouds alliance which now included 63. MoM was unaware of the tensions and was friendly with all fams included, never being completely happy with the decision to drop 63. 24/72 our allies, three weeks into the round informed us that a war was coming in the next two days. Not much notice for a family that was not wishing nor planning a war, but we would not let them fight alone, so we would be there on the front lines.

The tick the war started MoM made a clean sweep, taking out every enemy within 6 ticks of their core and making big stands in sections of sector 2, directly in the middle of TDC's core 49 and 23. The war went on as most do, both sides doing some back and forth, fleets jumping etc, until a day into the war when many members of fam 24 deleted. Suddenly their fam was decimated to only about 8 members, and only a few active enough to help. The war went on for another day anyway, until the talk of ceasefires and NAP's began with our allies and TDC. MoM was never part of these discussions and that would become a problem as soon as 24/72 both signed CF/NAP's with the enemy, neither including MoM. It was suddenly a 3 vs 1 war, a Tri versus the one fam that didn't even want the war, but had the balls to at least fight it. A week of fighting went one 3v1 with the main issue being the systems in sector two that MoM still owned in the TDC core. Those systems became The Alamo! For days a family of fairly new players and all unfamiliar with each other came together in an effort to stave off the enemy.

The strain began to wear on MoM, but that never interfered with their resolve to keep fighting with pride until an NAP was offered. The problem is TDC wanted a bunch of systems as compensation, and that was not something MoM could agree to. The Harkonnen spirit had taken over the MoM members and they believed that if you want the systems and planets then take them, but we won't just hand them over. the Ninth day set in and the final portal of MoM in Sector 2 was taken down. It was a matter of time and both sides were fine with ending it, knowing that the next wars would be starting immediately with all the patient observers of The Alamo War.

Other Members included: Cannibal, Humbaba or Rygatron, Dracula, Paradise, Hat, Silver/Phantom, MasterP, and some others that I have left out or forgot.
